Established in the 1970s as a family business, this charismatic establishment offers the unique options of having a tour of the facility whilst tasting some of the special brews and learning the history associated with it. Samuel Adams Brewery can be found on 30, Germania Street, in the Jamaican Plain neighbourhood of Boston, MA 02130. Tours are held on most days of the week, except on Sundays with some time variations. A tour will last from between 45 minutes to an hour, and begins at 10 am on scheduled days.
Extending beyond the borders of just making ‘ordinary’ beer, Samuel Adams Brewery produces what they call ‘Extreme Beers’. Currently there are 5 varieties produced, and they are Triple Bock, Millennium, Chocolate Bock, Utopias and Imperial Pilsner. Taking a closer look at what constitutes a ‘Chocolate Bock’, this beer is made from a complex combination of honey, vanilla and of course cocoa beans harvested from Northern Bolivia!
