Coconut milk is normally used in the preparation as well as a special paste that generally contains ingredients like lemongrass, garlic, turmeric leaves, chillies and ginger.


This term refers to a traditional cooking method that features the use of banana leaf to wrap the main ingredient which is typically fish, though chicken, vegetables or tofu can be used as well. Once properly wrapped in the banana leaf, it is grilled, steamed or boiled before being served as part of a yummy meal.
