Congee

Also referred to as silky-smooth congee, this delicious rice porridge is a much-loved comfort food. This traditional dish is generally cooked with a variety of meats. Locally known as “Har Gow”, this dim sum dish features shrimp dumplings prepared to perfection. It can be a bit expensive, but these dumplings which generally also have a bit of pork too are well worth trying.

Roast Goose

A traditional Cantonese dish, roast goose is generally served with a plum sauce; the cut pieces also have the skin along with tender and juicy meat. The Guangdong-style version features a particular variety of goose and is a popular dish especially in the New Territories.
