Negombo is a glorious beach bound city only a one-hour drive from the commercial capital of Colombo. Apart from the exciting beach activities, the city is also popular for its impeccable dining options. Here’s a guide to help you find the best places to eat out when in Negombo.

Lords Restaurant
Lords is immensely popular among travellers. The menu here is a hybrid of western and eastern flavours and these guys do an impressive job with food presentation. The food is a little pricey although it is totally worth it. The prawns, spinach and coconut cream curry here is classic.

Petit Restaurant
This is a rather small family run diner which serves the best classical Sri Lankan food and exotic seafood out of all the restaurants in Negombo. The ‘prawn fiesta’ offered here is a local favourite.

Dolce Vita
Drop by this beachside restaurant to sip on an espresso and feast of some delicious pizza. Its convenient location along the coast of Negombo beach within easy reach of many beach hotels such as Hotel J Negombo makes it a beloved date spot for honeymooners.

Sherry Land
The menu is mainly composed of exotic seafood and meats; the pork steak is a highlight of the restaurant. However, Sherry Land is mostly known for its killer cocktails. It offers an impressive range of delicious combinations that will tune in with the Negombo warmth.
