Caribbean cuisine

Caribbean cuisine is unique to regional culture and represents the fresh tropical vegetation of each island. Those in search of Turks and Caicos luxury resorts to enjoy traditional Caribbean dishes can stay at Parrot Cay by COMO. This award winning Turks and Caicos beach resort offers some of the most varied dining options.

Traditional dishes from Jamaican, Barbados and the Bahamas are very popular among tourists. These include Caribbean goat stew which is also called Guyana, Callaloo, Pelau, Ackee and Salt Fish and also deserts such as the black cake. Most common ingredients used in these dishes are rice, beans, chickpeas, tomatoes, coconut, sweet potatoes, plantains, okra and bell peppers.
